Obituary of Alessandro Pucino

Alessandro Pucino, age 79, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 at home in Wayne. Mr. Pucino was born January 3, 1930 in Torre le Nocelle, Italy, the son of the late Gerardo and the late Luisa (DeSantis) Pucino. Before retiring, he was employed by A & S Pork Store in Paterson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Maria (Carpenito); his loving son, Gerry and his wife Anita Pucino; cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Simon and dear sisters, Maria Sorrentino and Rosa Cassano and brothers, Saverio, Ceriaco and the late Baldo. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral Monday, February 2, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley R. C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne celebrated by Fr. Daniel W. Murphy. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage, NY 11714.
