Obituary of Margaret Resin

Margaret (nee Gacke) Resin, age 91, died Sunday, December 25, 2022 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. Mrs. Resin was born in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Jack and the late Anne (nee Klotz) Gacke. Margaret grew up in South Bend Indiana. She lived in Denville recently, was formerly of Wayne and was also a long time resident Secaucus. Mrs. Resin attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she graduated in 1953 with a bachelor's degree in music. She spent most of her working life with the Wedgewood China Company where she held various positions including advertising manager and more recently the manager of their outlet store in Lyndhurst. During her life she volunteered her time planning, and also walking in, the Parkinson's Unity Walk in Central Park in New York City to help raise money for Parkinson's research. Margaret was also active in Secaucus politics while she was a resident there. She enjoyed reading a good book and working on a crossword puzzle too. While living in Wayne, she was also a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Pompton Lakes. She is survived by her loving daughters Elizabeth Wrzesien-Olynick (Jeffrey), Alexandra Carnevale (John) and Maryanne Post (Frederick). Also her dear grandchildren Amanda, Natalie, Thomas, Keith, Frederick and Adrianna. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Daniel in 2010. Visiting hours will be Wednesday December 28, 2022 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be Thursday December 29, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes with everyone meeting directly at the church that morning. A private cremation will follow and later she will be placed in Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ with her husband. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Margaret.
