Obituary of Rose Sanclementi

Rose Sanclementi, née Giannone, passed away peacefully at her home in Wayne, NJ on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at 89 years old. She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Charles Sanclementi. Rose was born on April 16, 1930 in Wayne, where she was also raised, and married her high school sweetheart, Charles, on April 23, 1950. A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Rose also worked for a time as bookkeeper for Pro Mart Hardware in Oakland. Gifted with culinary forte, Rose was well known among family and friends for her incredible talents with food. Often asked how she always knew exactly how much food to make for any amount of people, it was noted that when Rose cooked, no one left a bite on their plate. Rose is survived by her beloved husband Charles; loving daughter, Karen Balter and her husband Richard and their daughter Allison McNamara; loving son Charles "Chuck" SanClementi, Jr., his wife Erin and their children Rosa, Gena and Luca; and dear brother Jack Giannone. Rose was predeceased by her son, Steven in 2003. Rose's family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at Moore's Home for Funerals, 1591 Alps Road in Wayne on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 4pm until 8pm. On Thursday, after a 9 am prayer service at Moore's, there will be a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Vincent D'Agostino at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa.
