Obituary of E. Warren Francis

Warren Francis, age 88, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Mr. Francis was born in Paterson, the son of the late James and the late Adriana (Trost) Francis. He was a long-time resident of Pompton Lakes. Mr. Francis served in the US Army during the Korean war. He retired from Wells Fargo in Newark in 1989 where he was a bank auditor, later he became the part-time bookkeeper for the Borough of Pompton Lakes. Mr. Francis was a member of the Wayne American Legion Post #174 and he was very involved in the Pompton Lakes B.P.O.E. #1895, as a lifetime member and long-time treasurer. He was also a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff. Mr. Francis was an accomplished amateur water color artist, but  most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

 

Warren is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Guanda (nee Dickerson); his loving children Paula (Dave) Strickland, and Warren (Rosemarie); his devoted granddaughters Lauren (Heath) Clark, Jessica (Corey) Wallace, Amy (Joshua) Halliday and Sarah (Marc) Strickland; and his cherished great-grandchildren Henry and Jacob Clark and Baby Girl Halliday; and his dear sister Dolores Hunter and brothers Donald and James (Laura) Francis.

 

Friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 1-4 pm at the funeral homeand the service at 3:30pm officiated by Rev. Judy Anne White.
