Obituary of Shirley Eileen Knapp

Shirley Eileen Knapp age 59, died peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2017 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Ms. Knapp was born December 31, 1957 in Paterson, the daughter of the late James Joseph and the late Edna Mae (Miller) Knapp. She lived in Wayne and previously in Haledon. Shirley was the second of four children and a graduate of Wayne Valley High School. She was employed by NBS, Paramus.

Shirley is survived by her beloved daughters, Christina Grossi, Jennifer Dirr and Michelle Grossi; her cherished grandchildren, Anthony Cuttillo, III, Ethan and Matthew Gomez, Jonathan, Mackenzie and Ciara Dirr, Cameron, Leila Marie and Briana Mae Alegre; her loving sister Donna Knapp and brother Edward, and her dear nieces and nephews, Scott Knapp, Stephen Knapp; Jessica Dierking, Katherine Knapp and Joseph Knapp; her loving aunt Marlyn Flanders-Miller; her boyfriend, Gregg; and her best friend, Patricia Fenton.  She was predeceased by her son, Christopher Michael Grossi, who passed away at birth; her brother Harold and her niece Sarah Knapp who passed away at age 2. 

Friends are welcome to attend the memorial service for Shirley on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Living Word Reformed Church, 21 Pleasantview Drive, North Haledon.

Burial of cremated remains will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
